Updated COVID19 Procedures

We are doing our best to be safe and follow social distancing guidelines.
We recommend customers wear masks, specifically if they would like to assist in the loading and unloading of their pets.
Please call before your arrival. Leaving a message is fine.
We will be keeping the appropriate social distance and will be wearing a mask around people (when possible) due to the new Governor's amendment.

We have found that masks can trigger aggressive or fearful behavior in some dogs (even in dogs that know us).
Please let us know if your pet has a problem with masks around others before we approach.
Sometimes dogs will try to remove the mask for us, which is not a nice surprise.
We may have to promptly remove our mask for our own safety.

As of this date, we still do not feel it is appropriate to provide tours or allow customers to enter the buildings.
The clearances in our buildings are just not large enough for multiple people, and/or multiple people and pets to maintain social distancing guidelines.
It also increases the amount of time we are in contact, which can increase risk.

It is rare for customers to arrive at the same time.
On average we only have three to four customers picking up or dropping off a day,
but certain times of the day are more popular than others.
If you should arrive at the same time as another customer or while we are attending another customer
PLEASE DO NOT exit your vehicle or approach other customers (inside or outside of their vehicle).
PLEASE remain in your vehicle with your pets .....Even if the customer is loading and unloading in the gated area.
We manage all customers with the same amount of patience and attention.
Some pets require more time than others to discuss and load and unload.
Remember while you wait, we will be providing the same amount of time
and attention to your pets once the other customer is safely on their way.
Please be patient. Things never go well when animals are rushed.

• Please call us upon arrival if you do not see us waiting for you at the first gate
( the one with the "OPEN" sign ) when you arrive.
We can do curbside pickup for your pets and belongings, or you may walk pets to the first gate,
whichever is preferred. Please do not touch the gate latch.
If curbside pickup is preferred, please have your pets secured in the vehicle ,
preferably in the back seat or the hatch back area.

• Please only allow only one family member at the gate.
(I know this is hard because the kids always want to say "Good-bye" to the pups at the gate...)

• Please do not touch the gate latch. We will open and close the gate.

•We will disinfect leashes and other belongings as needed before they enter our facility.
Bowls and chew toys are not sprayed with disinfectant but washed appropriately to keep the items safe for oral use.
Please try to limit the volume of items brought from home. If bringing food from home,
try to use a food container that can be easily disinfected.

•Please call prior to arrival so we will know when to have your pets and items ready.
• All items being sent home will be placed in a disinfected bag. The items in the bag will need to be disinfected at home (similar to the way grocery store items are handled). We will not be offended if you keep a "clean bag" of your own ready in the vehicle that we can place the bag from our facility inside.

• Please do not touch the gate latch. We will open and close the gate.

• Please only allow only one family member at the gate.
(I know this is hard because the kids always want to see the pups at the gate when it is time to pick them up....)

•If we are not at the gate with the "OPEN" sign when you arrive, please call again if we have not met you at the gate. (We may be in the restroom or still getting your pets ready, but another phone call will not hurt.) Please do not touch the gate latch or open the gate and enter the facility. Please call.

• Contactless payment can be made at the gate with the "OPEN" sign or at the vehicle if curbside service is desired.
If you would like to pay before arriving, we can send an invoice or take payment over the phone and have the itemized receipt sent to you by text or email.
If you will be paying in cash, please have the exact amount on hand.
We do not keep change for cash transactions on site. (We no longer accept checks.)

SPECIAL DROP-OFF OPTION

•Do you have dogs that do not like people walking to the car, or dogs that may try to bolt to Minnesota when the car door opens? Just let us know. We have a fenced pull-in area we can use to load and unload the pets. It takes a bit longer to open and close these gates, but it may be worth the peace of mind. Pets can be unloaded from the car and guided into our second gated area. We will then show them to their room. Pets can also be loaded into the car from this area at checkout.( When calling prior to pickup or drop-off, please let us know this option is preferred so we can have the gate used for this option unlocked.)
